Videoconference Exchange:
Gail Button from DOE (Teleschool Teacher) came to propose that interested school librarians participate in a student videoconference exchange on titles from this year’s Nene list. She stated that almost every school has video conferencing capabilities, just see your tech. coordinator for equipment. Gail is willing to coordinate and match up schools and school librarians as well as train on how to use technology; neighbor islands can be included! She created an online survey to assist interested librarians: email her for website address or with further questions/suggestions at gail_button@notes.k12.hi.us
She may put survey on Nene website.

Add info. on how to run a Nene Program for new school and public librarians; will discuss this further/share suggestions at the next Children’s Services Meeting in November
